It is estimated that millions around the world have neurogenic bladder and need to use a catheter for urine to exit the body. This session includes discussion to improve patient outcomes and increase collaboration between occupational therapists and nurses as both professions play a vital role in bladder management.
Learning Outcome
After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to list two ways in which occupational therapists and nurses can collaborate to work on intermittent catheterization.
